Like any other grown-ups, your fours and fives are focused and well-rounded. They usually have a solid understanding of the things they have interest in, what they want to do, and how things work. At Alphabet Academy, a child care in Denton, TX, we have teachers who will facilitate learning. Our four-year-olds spend most of their time doing hands-on activities that tie into academic principles. In this program, our childcare professionals skillfully weave in academic goals and objectives, challenging themselves to explore new things and to discover the world around them. Our fours start practicing how to write. We also open their doors to our age-appropriate books and language materials and use each of them to grasp new learning concepts. While they get to enjoy building castles out of blocks, managing a small flower shop in dramatic play, and helping care for the class pet during Science time, they also crave the pride of being able to write their name, learn their letters, and being prepared for kindergarten.
